Netflix has added this beloved series to its lineup, and Demon Slayer fans across the globe will be thrilled to know that. Yet, there’s an issue. If you don’t live in certain countries, you won’t have access to Demon Slayer in your Netflix library.
The reason is that specific titles are geo-locked, and Netflix doesn’t have rights to Demon Slayer in select countries (for the time being). However, you have nothing to fear because there is a way to fool Netflix’s system and grant yourself access to Demon Slayer and other popular anime via a VPN.

Sadly, if you’re not residing in any of these countries, you can’t watch this series. Fear not! Below, we’ll describe how to stream Demon Slayer on Netflix, regardless if you’re not located in the above countries.
Please note: We’ve confirmed that the countries mentioned have Demon Slayer in their Netflix libraries. Yet, it’s likely that other countries had access to the anime. Regarding this article, you only need to know 1 Netflix region that has access to this anime.
Fun fact: You can also watch Ghibli anime films via Netflix’s UK library and you can watch Your Name via Netflix’s Australia library.
How to Watch the Demon Slayer Anime on Netflix from Anywhere:
- Download a VPN
- Navigate to Netflix’s app settings
- Clear your Netflix’s cache
- Choose any of the above regions in the VPN
- Log in to Netflix and search for your desired anime
Step 1. Download a VPN
This part is easy. You only need to download a VPN (we’ve confirmed that NordVPN works for this method), and either buy a subscription or register for the free trial.
A VPN is necessary because Netflix tracks your location and IP address. A VPN (a virtual private network) is software that conceals your IP address and shields you from possible cyberattacks. It also prevents companies from tracking your internet activity without your consent.
Nevertheless, VPNs can fabricate your IP address to make it seem like you are in a different country. On that note, we can fool the Netflix app into believing we are in an entirely different country. This will allow us to gain access to that country’s Netflix library.
VPNs can also fake your IP address to make it appear as though you are in a different country. In doing so, we can trick the Netflix app into thinking we are in a different country and give us access to that country’s library.
Step 2. Clear Your Netflix Cache (and possibly storage too)
It is not always necessary to clear your cache, but sometimes if you do not do it, Netflix will access your past location data, and you will not have access to this method. Furthermore, it is important to clear your cache before connecting to the VPN in your desired country so that you can watch Demon Slayer anime on Netflix without worry.
To do so on mobile:
- Go to App settings
- Click on Netflix
- Click on a setting that says cache, storage & cache, or something similar
- Click “clear cache” NOT “clear storage.” Clearing storage could remove your downloads and require you to sign in again
NOTE: if you try clearing your cache and it still doesn’t work, clear your storage too. Yes, this will require you to sign in again, but I’ve had no trouble getting this to work after clearing storage.
To do so on PC:
You shouldn’t have to do this on PC. The easier option is to open an incognito window after turning on the VPN. If you run Netflix in an incognito window your previous site browsing data will be unreadable.
In case you do have to clear your internet data on PC for whatever reason, here’s how:
- Go to the settings of the browser you’re using
- Go to the Privacy and Security section
- Locate an option to clear browsing data or internet data
- Clear both “Cookies and Site Data” as well as “Cached Files and Images”
Step 3. Choose any of the above regions in the VPN
This one is pretty self-explanatory. To watch Demon Slayer on Netflix, we must choose the country where the anime is available on the Netflix library.

Step 4. Log in to Netflix and search for your preferred anime
