In The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten, Mahiru Shiina is the “angel” — an apparently perfect high school girl.

But at the beginning of the series, she’s sitting outside, getting soaked in the rain. Amane Fujimiya spots her, and gives her his umbrella.

This small interaction sets an unusual romance into motion as Mahiru offers to help out Amane at home. Slowly, a relationship grows between the ordinary, average boy and the angelic girl.

MeWatch in Singapore has the series with English or Chinese subtitles. The episodes are free if you live in Singapore, or if you have a good VPN.

MeWatch’s translation is definitely not the same as what you get with Crunchyroll. After comparing the two, I prefer Crunchyroll’s. MeWatch seemed a little terse. And while it was undoubtedly accurate, it didn’t read quite right to this American English speaker.

The online video service is part of Mediacorp, a state-owned conglomerate in Singapore.
