A Couple of Cuckoos Basics

A Couple of Cuckoos at Crunchyroll - Miki Yoshikawa, Kodansha/ Cuckoo's Fiancée Production Committee

A pair of teens who were accidentally switched at birth somehow end up in a relationship in A Couple of Cuckoos.

In addition to the “switched at birth” plot, there’s also an arranged marriage storyline, as Erika Amano’s and Nagi Umino’s parents hope to fix the problem by having the two be engaged.

The anime series also has harem comedy elements. Other girls, such as the competitive Hiro Segawa, enter the picture.

(If the “switched at birth” plot sounds a bit farfetched, consider that Shakespeare had the same idea 400 years ago.)

Incidentally, the title has a double meaning, as it could refer to comical “cuckoos.” Or, it could refer to the birds, which have a reputation for placing their eggs in other birds’ nests.

  2. In the settings, choose Japan as your location.
  3. Fire up the VPN and wait for it to do its magic
  4. Once you’re connected, navigate to Netflix (browser or app)

Enjoy! Please note that if your Netflix library doesn’t update to reflect the country you selected in your VPN, you may have to clear the Netflix cache first and try again.

To do this on mobile, go to settings -> apps -> Netflix -> clear cache. To do this on PC, you have to clear the cache in your web browser.

I’ve had no trouble using this method and I still use NordVPN to watch anime from various Netflix country libraries daily.
