More and more people are tuning into Anime shows, and it’s no surprise why. The stories are mostly adaptations of complex manga (Japanese comic books) story arcs that cater to a wide variety of audiences.

Anime games and merchandise have also blown up in popularity with the advent of Cosplay events whose acceptance has permeated different countries around the world. JRPGs and Anime Toys have popularized these shows so much that many online video game stores like poggers have them on for sale. Anime poggers merchandise, manga, and toys drive the medium’s popularity even further and there’s no escaping it anytime soon.

1. Demon Slayer

Demon Slayer is a Japanese anime series that tells the story of Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy who lives in a world full of demons. When his family is killed by a demon, he sets out on a quest to avenge their deaths and to find a way to turn his sister back into a human.

The thing that I love about Demon Slayer is the way that it portrays the demons. In most cases, when you have a show about demons and monsters, they have no nuance. But in Demon Slayer, the demons are humanized to a point where you understand their motivations.

They have their own culture, their own way of life, and they’re not just there as hero fodder. This makes the show much more interesting, and it’s also one of the things that makes it so popular in Japan. If you’re looking for a new anime to watch, we highly recommend Demon Slayer.

2. Attack On Titan

There are only a few anime series as beloved as Attack on Titan. The story of Eren, Mikasa, and Armin fighting against the Titans is one that has captivated audiences for years. And while the show may be dark and grim at times, it’s also filled with moments of hope and courage.

For those who may be unfamiliar, Attack on Titan is set in a world where giant human-like creatures called Titans have suddenly appeared and begun devouring humans. The few remaining survivors have retreated behind giant walls in order to protect themselves.

The anime follows the story of Eren Yeager, a young boy who dreams of one day seeing the world outside the walls. When the Titans break through the wall and Eren’s mother is killed, he joins the military in order to get revenge.

Alongside his childhood friends Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert, Eren fights against the Titans in order to protect the people he cares about. But as the series progresses, Eren discovers that there is more to the Titans than meets the eye.

If you’re looking for an anime that’s action-packed, emotional, and thought-provoking, then you need to check out Attack on Titan. It’s a series that will stay with you long after you’ve seen the final episode.

3. Jujutsu Kaisen

Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese anime series that began airing in October 2020. The story follows Yuji Itadori, a Tokyo Jujutsu High student who joins an Occult Club for fun which turns out to be the real deal. By some weird turn of events, he gets to swallow the finger of a demon which turns him into a vessel.

The only way to free himself is to find the rest of the body parts to exorcise himself from said possession. He then joins the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College to find the other fingers.

Jujutsu Kaisen is a thrilling anime series that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It features exciting action scenes, as well as a compelling story that will leave you wanting more. If you’re a fan of Berserk or Guts, then you’ll definitely want to check out Jujutsu Kaisen.

4. Baki

Baki is an incredibly popular anime series that first aired in the early 2000s. The series follows the story of Baki Hanma, a young man who trains intensely to become the strongest fighter in the world. The series is full of incredibly intense fighting scenes and is very popular among fans of the genre.

What’s distinct about the Baki Anime is that his own father, Yujiro Hanma, is somewhat of a narcissistic sociopath.  Yujiro is considered to be the strongest fighter in the world and Baki wants to prove his worth by someday beating his own father, Yujiro. This creates a very complex and unique relationship between them.

They have the same Hanma Bloodline that has the legendary “Demon Back” which gives them immense, supernatural powers for combat. This makes them almost unbeatable to mere humans. What’s crazier is that Yujiro, his father, has been breeding different women to create the ultimate fighter that can finally be worthy enough of his time.

5. Berserk

Berserk is a truly excellent anime and one that I highly recommend. It features great characters, intense action, and a beautifully dark and gritty world. It is unique in the sense that the main characters are far more nuanced (considering most serious animes are already), and that the main characters’ flaws and vulnerabilities are constantly explored. It was and still is truly an anime classic for the ages. This is geared towards a more mature and sophisticated audience though.

The story follows Guts, a former mercenary, who has become embroiled in a great war between powerful kingdoms and a demonic force known as the Apostles. The mercenary group named “Band of the Hawk” and its leader Griffith recruits him and turns him into their best fighter.

Guts is an incredibly skilled fighter, and he quickly proves to be a valuable asset to Griffith and the kingdom. However, as the war drags on and the kingdom’s atrocities mount, Guts begins to question his loyalty.

Guts and Griffith have a falling out and go their separate ways only to reunite under more contentious circumstances for Griffith has turned into a demon named Femto and Guts needs to stop him.

The anime is incredibly well-animated, and the action sequences are absolutely amazing. The characters are all incredibly well-developed, and the story is incredibly engaging.

If you’re looking for an anime that is dark, gritty, and filled with intense action, then I highly recommend Berserk.

Conclusion

Whether you’re a fan or not, it’s clear that Anime is only going to grow as different mediums of entertainment start transcending into each other. Its cultural impact on countries outside of Japan is astounding.

So whether you’re into Cosplaying, Manga, Jpop, or Anime, it’s remarkable how this exclusive form of entertainment has taken over much of the world and embraced it like their own.
