If you are actually planning a Haruhi day in Nishinomiya, the useful part is not the anniversary slogan. It is the fact that there is now a real convenience-store stop folded into the route. FamilyMart has turned its Nishinomiya Shishiguchi branch into a limited-time 涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱 hub, and because the campaign runs for more than three months, it is long enough to build a proper seichi junrei, or anime pilgrimage, plan around.
FamilyMart’s official announcement says the wrapped store opened on June 20, 2026 and is scheduled to run through September 23, 2026. The location is FamilyMart Nishinomiya Shishiguchi, at 1-39 Shishiguchicho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo, and it ties directly into the broader JR Tokai Haruhi 20th anniversary campaign.
Where The Haruhi Store Is And What Is Actually There
This is not only a poster corner or a single piece of counter branding. FamilyMart says the store is fully decorated with the special Haruhi x JR Tokai collaboration visual, and it is also selling original goods that use a newly drawn illustration by Noizi Ito. That makes it a real stop, not just a symbolic one.
There are also two practical rules worth knowing in advance. FamilyMart says no photography inside the store, and it also asks fans not to stand around outside in a way that bothers nearby residents. So if you want photos, think of this as an exterior and pilgrimage-route stop first, and a normal neighborhood conbini second.
How The JR Tokai Tie-In Works In Nishinomiya
The wrapped store is one part of the larger JR Tokai “Oshi Tabi” campaign. On the train side, the campaign includes an original voice drama, a quiz, and a digital stamp rally around Nishinomiya. The FamilyMart store is one of the official check-in points for that pilgrimage-style stamp rally, which is what makes it more useful than a normal merch location.
If you are doing the wider campaign, the reward pickup and exhibition side happens at Create Nishinomiya inside LaLaport Koshien, not at the convenience store. According to the JR Tokai campaign page, reward pickup and the mini exhibition run from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and are closed on Tuesdays. That same site says the wrapped FamilyMart is open 24 hours and the goods sales there started at 10:00 a.m. on June 20.
What You Can Unlock If You Make A Full Trip Of It
The Nishinomiya side of the campaign has a six-point digital stamp rally. One stamp unlocks an AR photo frame with voice, and three stamps unlock an original postcard. The train-content side can also lead to a clear file and a ticket-style card if you complete the required onboard participation and claim them in Nishinomiya.
The practical limits are what matter here. Reward stock is limited. Redemptions are one per person per day. Screenshots do not count, because staff need to see the live redemption screen on your device. Some rally spots are near school-related locations, and the campaign notes say visitors cannot enter school grounds. That means the Haruhi trip works best if you treat it like a route with time windows, not a vague wander.
Why This One Is Better Than A Generic Anniversary Stop
Haruhi has always been one of anime’s clearest real-world map series. Fans remember the atmosphere of Nishinomiya just as much as the characters. That is why turning a FamilyMart into a temporary pilgrimage anchor makes more sense than a detached pop-up somewhere unrelated.
So the practical version is simple: go to FamilyMart Nishinomiya Shishiguchi for the wrapped-store experience and on-site goods, use it as part of the stamp route if you are doing the JR Tokai campaign, and head to Create Nishinomiya for the exhibition and reward pickup before 6:00 p.m. if it is not Tuesday.
