I was lucky again this year to be at Tokyo Game Show 2019 on the business day for members of the press. The event was amazing as always with incredible booths set up by some of the biggest names in the gaming industry. PlayStation and Square Enix took advantage of their front-runner, Final Fantasy VII Remake.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake was by far one of the most popular games in the venue with PlayStation running out of tickets to demo the game by 12 pm on the second business day. When I went to the Square Enix side of the venue their wait times to play the game were 1 hour to over 2 hours.

What was most impressive was the special Mako Reactor themed decor they had created for the demo area.
The dynamic battle system and episodic delivery of the game has alot of fans worrying. Some doubt whether or not the remake will do the original justice. I’m on the complete other side of the fence with this. I don’t see much of a point recreating the game with modern graphics but keeping everything else the same. That would pretty much just be a remaster. I much prefer them doing something different that does the original story justice, but makes the game fun for modern audiences.
