1. One Piece (Pirate Flags)
Our first hoodie in this collection features some of the Jolly Roger pirate flags seen in the Four Emperors Saga of One Piece.
In the world of One Piece, the most notorious pirate captains become known as “Emperors of the Sea.” During the series, Luffy emerges as a “Fifth Emperor.” Eventually, he even replaces one of the Four Emperors.
The hoodie’s front has Luffy’s Straw Hat pirate flag, with a flower pattern. On the back are the flags for Luffy, Blackbeard, Kaidou of the Beasts, Big Mom, and Shanks. The hoodie is navy and grey, and it zips up the front.
The hoodie was made for Guf, a Kansai area anime and pop culture shop.
2. Sailor Moon
If you’re a fan of Sailor Moon, check out this hoodie. The hoodie features a colorful silhouette of Sailor Moon, along with her friendly moon cat Luna. The magical girl heroine shows up on both the front and the back.
This particular hoodie is by Bakugou — no, not the explosive hero from My Hero Academia, but a company which offers all sorts of anime merch and other stuff at Amazon.

While most of the hoodies feature Sailor Moon, one makes a nice pattern of her various wands and magical weapons. A few of them have Sailor Moon with some of the other Sailor Moon Characters.
3. Girlfriend, Girlfriend (Shino)
Our next hoodie features Shino from the harem comedy Girlfriend, Girlfriend.
The oddball series has a weird but funny premise — what if a guy accidentally ends up with multiple girlfriends, but convinces them to try and make it work? Also, what if the girls are surprisingly OK with the idea of sharing, at least initially?
Somehow the whole thing manages to not fall apart, primarily because the main characters all act like idiots. (The series was created by the same artist who did the equally cute and silly Aho Girl.)
Shino doesn’t start out as one of the main girls in this romantic comedy. In fact, when she finds out about Naoya’s arrangement, she disapproves of it. However, in the manga it has already been confirmed that she has feelings for Naoya. In the anime, this will probably be an issue in the upcoming second season.
This hoodie uses the Japanese title for the series, Kanojo mo Kanojo.
4. Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid (Kanna)
Kanna Kamui reaches maximum levels of cuteness in this pullover hoodie for Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid.
If you’re a fan of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, you probably already know that Kanna is both the youngest and cutest dragon in the anime series. In general, this fantasy comedy anime has a tendency to get pretty cute at times. But Kanna really takes the cake with her grade school antics, and adorably quiet attitude.
Incidentally, the front and back sides of this hoodie are different. On the back, Kanna gives the viewer a confused, questioning look, and asks one of her catchphrases, “maji yabaku ne.” (It translates as “isn’t that wicked?”)
5. Hidamari Sketch (Yuno)
Yuno from Hidamari Sketch features in this black-and-white hoodie.
This hoodie specifically references Hidamari Sketch x Honeycomb (Hanikamu), a sequel to the original Hidamari Sketch series. The design is done in a very sketchy style, as if it were drawn by one of the artistic girls on the show.
Hidamari Sketch is a slice-of-life comedy. A group of schoolgirls share the Hidamari apartment building, while attending Yamabuki Art High School. (The hoodie includes the number 201, which is Yuno’s apartment.)
The story is mostly told from Yuno’s perspective, as she grows from a shy newcomer to eventually a senpai for the girls who come after her.
6. One Piece (Uta’s Hoodie)
This hoodie is a replica of a hooded jacket that pop idol singer Uta wears in the One Piece movie Red.
Of course, this can be worn as part of an Uta cosplay. But you could probably wear it in other non-cosplay situations as well.
In the movie Red, Uta is more than just an idol singer. She’s also the daughter of Shanks, and one of the main characters.

7. Rent-A-Girlfriend (Chizuru)
Romantic comedy anime heroine Chizuru shows some of her many sides in this unique pullover anime hoodie. It’s from the series Rent-A-Girlfriend, a.k.a. Kanojo, Okarishimasu.
With its interesting premise and characters, awkward comedic situations, and dramatic moments which tug at the heartstrings, Rent-A-Girlfriend has been a winner for two seasons. A third season should arrive in July 2023.
And, of course, Chizuru, with her complex double life and complicated situation at home, has been a huge part of the reason for the series’ success.
8. Yuru Camp
This zip-up hooded sweatshirt features the five main characters from Yuru Camp, a.k.a. Laid-Back Camp.
In the foreground, Nadeshiko has just sent a selfie to Aoi Inuyama, Ena Saito, and Chiaki, who all look happy to have gotten it. In the back, Rin Shima leans slightly against her Yamaha. It’s hard to tell from the illustration, but she’s also waving at the cameraphone a little.

9. Heaven’s Design Team
This simple and subtle hoodie was inspired by the unique and clever comedy/ fantasy series Heaven’s Design Team, a.k.a. Tenchi Sozo Design-Bu.
The series takes the classic mythological creation story, and applies modern business practices to it. Why should God design all of the creatures on the Earth, when the task can be outsourced to some experts? In Heaven’s Design Team, a group of designers is given an assignment, and the team must figure out the right way to fulfill God’s requirements.
The end results are typically both hilarious and educational. As it turns out, each body design that the team develops actually does serve a specific purpose in real life. And the series takes the time to explain the logic behind it.
The hoodie features an “approved” stamp, indicating that God is pleased with the design team’s latest work.
10. Dragon Ball
This artistic and contemplative hoodie features Goku from Dragon Ball.
The young hero is shown silhouetted against a red sun (in the style of the Japanese flag). He stands underneath a large, flowering tree — possibly either a cherry or a plum. The overall style of the hoodie resembles an ink brush painting. Overall, the scene has a very Japanese look.
